Education - Major/Main Subjects - what do I put there? Empty Education - Major/Main Subjects - what do I put there?

Mon Aug 04, 2014 2:45 pm
While filling out the forms about education, I stumbled upon these categories: major and main subjects. I have a degree in law and there's really nothing parallel to this on the diploma, I didn't even have a specialisation in the course of my studies (not formally - I picked some seminars and workshops to my liking, mostly food and agriculture-related, but it's not called "specialisation" or anything like that on the diploma).

Can I just write there which subjects I concentrated on the most, or should it all have a source in my diploma and its supplement?

P.S. Took some time to get my account approved. Fortunately, the forums are not abandoned, after all  Smile

I have the same problem.
Could someone help us before the deadline? It's the only information left.

If you don't have any specialisation, just write whatever is your degree name everywhere. For example, if your degree is in law, you may put:

Major subject: Law
Main subject: Law

I have a BA in Translation and since I studied two languages, I put:

Major subject: Translation and Interpretation
Main subject 1: English
Main subject 2: French

I sent an email to the Traineeships Office in the meantime (good idea, btw; got a reply in 2 days, while this forum is lacking in activity as of recent). They told me I can choose any course I considered important during my studies as the main subject. No clear answer on the major though, but I had sent the application already, so we'll see how it goes.

Even I have registered for LSAT 2018 and now have to start preparing for it. I would like to join the online test prep course as well but it is hard for me to pick any good exam which can help me pass the test in the first attempt. I wonder if you could help regarding it!
